UFC Fight Night: Saint Preux vs. Okami Odds

The UFC makes a rare appearance in Japan this weekend as UFC Fight Night 117: Saint Preux vs. Okami sets up shop in Saitama.

The main event this weekend was supposed to be a light heavyweight bout between Mauricio Rua and Ovince Saint Preux, but Rua had to withdraw due to a knee injury. Instead, Saint Preux faces Yushin Okami and he is heavily favored at -500 at Bovada Sportsbook. Okami is a +350 underdog.

Saint Preux has struggled to a 2-4 record in his last six fights. Overall he is 20-10 with nine wins by KO and six by submission. His last fight was at UFC Fight Night 108 in April where he defeated Marcos Rogerio de Lima by submission as a -270 favorite.

Okami hasn’t fought in the UFC since 2013. The MMA veteran is 34-10 with 11 wins by KO and six by submission. He has won his last four fights and last fought at a PFL event in July where he defeated Andre Lobato by unanimous decision.

Also on the main card in Japan this weekend is a women’s strawweight bout between Claudia Gadelha and Jessica Andrade. Gadelha is a -270 favorite at Bovada Sportsbook and Andrade is a +210 underdog.

Gadelha is 15-2 with two wins by KO and seven by submission. She last fought at UFC 212 in June and defeated Karolina Kowalkiewicz by submission as a -380 favorite.

Andrade is 16-6 with five wins by KO and seven by submission. Her last fight was at UFC 211 in May where she lost to Joanna Jedrzejczyk by unanimous decision as a +145 underdog.

Also garnering interest on this weekend’s card is a lightweight bout between Takanori Gomi and Dong Hyun Kim. Kim is a -350 favorite and Gomi is a +265 underdog.

Kim is 22-4-1 and one no contest with nine wins by KO and two by submission. His last fight was at UFC Fight Night 111 in June where he lost to Colby Covington by unanimous decision as a +185 underdog.

Gomi really needs a win right now, having lost four straight fights and seven of his last 10. He is 35-13 with 13 wins by KO and six by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 111 in June and lost to Jon Tuck by submission as a +240 underdog.
