Betting action is available on this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 107 card. Headlining the event is a Light Heavyweight matchup between two of the best up-and-comers in the division as Corey Anderson faces Jimi Manuwa, while the co-main event will feature submission specialist Gunner Nelson pitted against Alan Jouban.
Jimi Manuwa is handicapped as a slim -150 UFC odds favorite at Bovada to beat Anderson. He is coming off an impressive win in his last fight and has only lost to the most elite in the division. Anderson is mainly a grappler who will be looking to take the fight to the ground and control the action for his sixth decision win. If you think he can do that in this fight Bovada is offering +120 on him for the win.
We like the inexpensive price on Manuwa because we expect him to bring a high pace with heavy hands and lethal kicks. We don’t think Anderson can take what he’s going to bring and expect another violent Manuwa KO victory.
The UFC Fight Night 107 co-main event offers a one-sided handicapped fight with Gunner Nelson a heavy -340 Bovada favorite. Jouban does not bring anything special for Nelson to deal with in a standing battle, and if the fight goes to the ground at any point Nelson should lock up a submission for the quick victory.
If you think Jouban can find a way to keep the fight standing for all three rounds and dominate in a striking battle, the upset payday is pretty fat on him at Bovada at +260. That is not recommended by us, but anything can happen in an MMA fight.
Brad Pickett will be fighting in his farewell match at UFC Fight Night 107 in a catchweight battle against short-notice replacement Marlon Vera. Odds have the fight handicapped close as Pickett is only a slim -150 favorite while a Vera win will pay +120. We like the idea that Pickett goes out with a win in front of hometown fans.
