UFC Fight Night: Maia vs Condit Odds

UFC Fight Night action returns this Saturday with two of the top welterweights in the world clashing to put themselves back into title contention.

Former UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit will test his striking skills against the world champion submission skills of Demian Maia. The UFC on Fox 21 fight card will also feature an important featherweight battle between Charles Oliveira and Anthony Pettis.

With a new UFC welterweight champion sitting upon the throne, 170-pound fighters are scrambling to get the first shot at the new king. The winner of the UFC on Fox 21 main event may get that chance with a dominant performance, and oddsmakers at Bovada have Condit as the slim -125 favorite.

Action on Maia comes with a -105 price, way down from the initial lines that had Condit as a UFC odds -105 underdog and Maia as the -125 favorite.

This fight is a true pick'em and will either end with Condit beating down Maia for a KO win, or Maia out-grappling Condit for a submission win.

MMA betting fans will have another closely handicapped fight to bet on with the UFC on Fox 21 co-main event between Pettis and Oliveira. Bovada lines have Pettis as a -200 favorite while the upset action on Oliveira will pay +160.

Both are dynamic fighters with elite striking and ground skills. If one fighter has an advantage it would be in the experience department where Pettis holds a big edge.

We expect this fight to be the best option for fight of the night as both will be looking to dazzle the crowd. Pettis will be making his debut at 145 pounds, a factor that could either give him an edge fighting smaller opponents, or drain his energy if the weight cut is too much for his system.

MMA odds are also available on the first appearance of Paige VanZant since her first loss in the Octagon. She will face Rowdy Bec Rawlings in hopes of putting herself back into contention in the UFC Women’s Strawweight division.

UFC odds on this matchup at Bovada have VanZant handicapped as a -210 favorite, while action on Rawlings is coming with a +170 payday.
