UFC Fight Night: Lineker vs Dodson Odds

MMA betting action returns this weekend with another UFC Fight Night card on which to wager. UFC Fight Night 96 will be headlined by two of the top Bantamweight contenders in John Dodson and John Lineker, while the co-main event will pit Alex Oliveira against Will Brooks.

The UFC Fight Night 96 fight card is loaded with closely handicapped fights to choose from, including the main event.

Dodson has been a wrecking machine over his UFC career, having secured wins over some of the biggest names in the business at 125 and 135 pounds. His only losses in his last eleven fights have been to pound-for-pound No.1 Demetrious Johnson, so now Dodson has moved up a weight class to seek his own belt after two failed attempts at becoming the Flyweight champ.

Dodson is a slim -135 UFC odds favorite at Bovada to beat Lineker. 6-0 when handicapped as the favorite, the price on Dodson looks to be a bargain against an opponent who mainly depends on power.

Dodson’s speed will be the difference in this fight, which we expect to be a one-sided affair resulting in a Dodson KO win. Lineker will need to land a power shot to have a chance at paying out on the +105 Bovada option.

Former Bellator Lightweight champion Will Brooks will be looking to solidify himself as a UFC title contender at UFC Fight Night 96 with a win over Alex Oliveira. Handicapped as the -305 UFC odds favorite, we expect Brooks to technically dominate his opponent for a decision win. He has won nine straight and should have little difficulty dealing with Oliveira.

If you think for some reason Brooks will have difficulty at UFC Fight Night 96, the upset option on Oliveira is paying +235. MMA betting enthusiasts have not seen it that way, driving the upset payday up from the initial +195 offering on him when betting at Bovada opened.

Oliveira is 0-2 in his career when handicapped as the underdog, so upsets have not been his specialty to this point in his career.
