UFC Fight Night: Johnson vs Bader Odds

MMA bettors will have a free fight card to wager on this weekend when UFC on Fox 18 rolls into New Jersey on Saturday night. Headlining the event will be top Light Heavyweight contenders Anthony Johnson and Ryan Bader, while Heavyweight action between Josh Barnett and Ben Rothwell is lined up as the co-main event.

Ryan Bader will need the performance of his career if he is going to pay out on the +240 underdog option current being offered on him to win at online sportsbook Bovada. He will need to get back to his roots and use his wrestling skills to get this fight to the ground where he will have a chance at victory.

If Anthony Johnson can keep the fight standing long enough to land one of his many devastating strikes he should be a safe risk as the Bovada -310 favorite. He will be looking to take out his opponent from the opening bell, and we expect him to do just that in the early going of the fight.

The UFC on Fox 18 co-main event will feature two fighters vying for a potential UFC Heavyweight title shot. Both are 3-1 in their last four and are one or two wins away from a shot at UFC gold. Josh Barnett is currently a slim -140 favorite to beat Ben Rothwell, who will pay +110 for the upset.

We think that is a bargain price on Barnett who should be able to dirty-box and grapple his way to either a decision or submission win. Big Ben will most likely be taken into deep waters and won’t be able to hold up against the constant pressure that Barnett will bring.

If you have the bankroll, UFC Fight Night 18 will also feature the latest installment of the Sage Northcutt story. This time he will face a 10-3 Bryan Barberena as the -500 favorite and should have little trouble making good on the odds Bovada is offering.

Northcutt has so many ways to win this fight, and it’s apparent that the UFC is taking their time with his development. Expect a dominant win by Northcutt who should finish his opponent within the first two rounds.
