UFC Fight Night: Jedrzejczyk vs Penne Odds

The UFC Strawweight title will be up for grabs this weekend when Joanna Jedrzejczyk looks to defend her crown for the first time. UFC Fight Night 69 odds are already available at Bovada on all 11 fights including a Bantamweight matchup between Dennis Siver and Tatsuya Kawajiri.

The UFC Strawweight division has a new champion in Jedrzejczyk, and UFC Fight Night 69 will pit her against former Invicta Atomweight champion Jessica Penne. Current Bovada odds have Jedrzejczyk handicapped as the -700 favorite. That line has steadily climbed from the initial -600 offering.

Jedrzejczyk is a heavy favorite as easily the best striker in the division. Her pace and striking technique will be too much for her opponent to handle, and this fight will likely end with a Jedrzejczyk KO/TKO win. We haven’t seen her tested against a high-level jiu-jitsu fighter yet, but her takedown defense should be enough to keep the fight standing.

The co-main event will feature Bantamweight Dennis Siver in the Octagon against Tatsuya Kawajiri. Current MMA odds have Siver listed as the -170 favorite while action on Kawajuri will pay +145. We think that is a good price on Siver who will be fighting in front of a hometown crowd against an opponent who won’t be able to match strength with him.

As long as Siver is able to stay off his back he should be able to dominate his opponent for what should likely be a unanimous decision win. If he does find himself on the mat his chances of losing go up fast due to the slick submission game of Kawajiri.

The UFC Fight Night 69 card will also feature one of the big name prospects in Peter Sobotta. Sobotta is riding a six-fight win streak and is currently listed as a -260 odds favorite against journeyman fighter Steve Kennedy, who will be making his long awaited UFC debut. Kennedy may be worth some upset action in this matchup at +216.
