Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night 98 card ends a long hiatus for MMA betting fans and will also crown the winner of The Ultimate Fighter Latin America 3.
Stacked with proud Latin fighters, this event will surely deliver great bouts throughout the entire card while offering a main event between two of the best 155-pound fighters in the sport.
UFC odds are available at online sportsbook Bovada on every UFC Fight Night 98 matchup, but no line stands out to us more than the main event headliner option between former UFC Lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos and Tony Ferguson.
Odds have dos Anjos as a -150 favorite and Ferguson as a +120 underdog.
Over the last year Ferguson has become an absolute beast capable of ruling this division while dos Anjos has fallen rapidly from grace since the implementation of USADA anti-doping policies.
We’re all over that Ferguson underdog option. He may only be 1-0 when handicapped as an underdog, but he will go straight at dos Anjos. The former champ does not react well when he’s being forced against superior striking.
The co-main event offers a semi-affordable MMA betting option on Marcin Held to beat Diego Sanchez. Lines at Bovada have Held as the -280 favorite and a +220 payday on the Sanchez upset.
This will likely be Sanchez’ last opportunity to fight in front of Mexican fans, and we wouldn’t be surprised to hear a retirement speech after the fight. He has little to no chance of the upset against a grappler the likes of Marcin Held.
If you have the bankroll, this looks to be the best chalk option right now. This fight should be over in the first two minutes, resulting in a Held submission win. He has no reason to brawl with Sanchez and will surely take the fight to the ground and finish his opponent in short order.
Another interesting UFC Fight Night 98 option has Charles Oliveira and Ricardo Lamas closely handicapped at Bovada with a slim edge on Oliveira at -120.
