UFC Fight Night: Dillashaw vs Barao Odds

The long-awaited rematch between current UFC Bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw and former UFC Bantamweight champion Renan Barao will take place on July 25 as part of UFC on Fox 16. Also featured on the card will be a No. 1 contender fight in the Women’s Bantamweight division between Jessica Eye and Miesha Tate.

Current MMA odds at Bovada have Dillashaw handicapped as the -220 favorite while the Barao upset is offering a +175 payday. The moneyline on Dillashaw has been moving between -200 and -250 over the last few days, only to find itself almost right back where it started at -225.

If you watched the first meeting between these two fighters it was apparent that Barao was unable to handle the footwork and hand speed of Dillashaw, and we expect more of the same in this fight. If Barao has made some improvements this fight will likely go the distance with Dillashaw winning via unanimous decision.

The co-main event is currently handicapped closely, but as expected in Miesha Tate’s favor. Handicappers at Bovada have Tate as the -200 favorite, increasing in price from the initial -150 option offered on her when the books opened.

We like the toughness of Tate and expect her to win a close decision in what could be the Fight of the Night. Eye has not finished many of her fights and will be put to a torrid pace by her opponent.

UFC on Fox 16 will also offer MMA betting fans a great matchup between Edson Barboza and Paul Felder. Both are on long win streaks and both have elite striking skills. Currents UFC odds on this fight have Barbosa handicapped as the -140 favorite while action on the undefeated Felder will pay +110.

This fight is a true pick'em with both fighters having a good chance to take the victory. We’re going to keep our eyes open for the Bovada prop that the fight doesn’t go the distance because these two hungry fighters will both be looking to take the other’s head off for the entire three rounds.
