UFC Fight Night: Condit vs Alves Odds

UFC Fight Night action returns this weekend with a full card of fights on which to wager. Moneyline odds on the main card are available at Bovada including the main event between former UFC Interim Welterweight champion Carlos Condit and Thiago Alves.

Bovada currently has Condit listed as the -260 favorite while Alves will pay +200 for the victory. The big factor in this fight to consider is that Condit will be returning to the Octagon following over a year-long layoff due to a torn ACL and meniscus. Any lingering effects of the injury could play a role in his performance, giving more value to the upset.

If Condit is back to his former self he should cruise to a dominant win against a less-technical striker that has little in the way of ground game to fall back on. MMA betting action thus far on this fight has been in favor of Condit, raising the price from the initial -230 offering.

The co-main event will feature Featherweight action between Nik Lentz and Charles Oliveira. Current moneyline action at Bovada has Oliveira handicapped as the -265 favorite while Lentz is currently a +205 underdog. These two met back in 2011 with Oliveira winning by submission (later overturned for a no-contest) following an illegal kick.

We expect Oliveira to be worth the risk against Lentz. He was dominant in their first meeting and should be even more so this time around. We expect an early-round finish by Oliveira against an opponent who will not be able to match skills with him while standing or grappling.

The UFC Fight Night 67 matchup between Alex Oliveira and K.J. Noons is a closely-handicapped match that currently offers odd of -135 on Oliveira and +105 on Noons. Both fighters like to stand and strike, but the power of Oliveira is expected to be the difference in this fight.
