UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs Machida Odds

The UFC heads to South America this week to set up shop in Sao Paulo, Brazil for UFC Fight Night 119: Brunson vs Machida.

The main event this weekend is a middleweight bout between Derek Brunson and Lyoto Machida. At Bovada Sportsbook, Brunson is a strong -170 favorite, while Machida is a +140 underdog.

Brunson has struggled in the Octagon lately with a 1-2 record in his last three fights. That has dropped his lifetime record to 17-5 with nine wins by knockout and four by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 110 in June where he defeated Dan Kelly by first-round KO as a -285 favorite.

Machida returns to the Octagon for the first time in more than two years thanks to a suspension for using banned substances. He owns a 22-7 record with nine wins by KO and two by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 70 in June 2015 where he lost to Yoel Romero by KO as a -210 favorite.

Also on the main card at UFC Fight Night 119 is a welterweight bout between Demian Maia and Colby Covington. At Bovada Sportsbook, Covington is a -140 favorite and Maia is a +110 underdog.

Covington is on a four-fight winning streak and enters the fight at 12-1 with one win by KO and six by submission. His last fight was at UFC Fight Night 111 in June where he defeated Dong Hyun Kim by unanimous decision as a -345 favorite.

Maia had a seven-fight winning streak snapped in his last bout that dropped his record to 25-7 with three wins by KO and 12 by submission. His last fight was at UFC 214 in July where he lost to Tyron Woodley by unanimous decision as a +160 underdog.

One other fight on the main card drawing attention is a bantamweight bout between Pedro Munhoz and Rob Font. Font is a -190 favorite and Munhoz a +155 underdog.

Font is 14-2 with six wins by KO and four by submission. He last fought Douglas Silva de Andrade at UFC 213 in July and won by submission as a -350 favorite.

Munhoz is 14-2 and one no contest, with two wins by KO and eight by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 109 in May and defeated Damian Stasiak by unanimous decision as a -830 favorite.
