UFC 223 Betting: Holloway vs Khabib Odds

The UFC returns to New York this weekend with UFC 223: Holloway vs Khabib set to take over the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The main event at UFC 223 was supposed to be Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov, but Ferguson had to withdraw due to a knee injury. Instead, the main event is a title bout between Max Holloway and Nurmagomedov for the vacant UFC lightweight title. At Bovada Sportsbook, Nurmagomedov is a -450 favorite and Holloway a +325 underdog.

Nurmagomedov is undefeated in his MMA career at 25-0 with eight wins by knockout and eight by submission. He last fought at UFC 219 in December where he defeated Edson Barboza by unanimous decision as a -410 favorite.

Holloway is the current UFC featherweight champion and will attempt to become only the second UFC fighter to hold two titles in different weight classes at the same time. He enters this bout on a 12-fight winning streak that has bumped his record up to 19-3 with nine wins by KO. He last fought at UFC 218 in December where he successfully defended the featherweight title by defeating Jose Aldo by TKO as a -310 favorite.

The co-main event at UFC 223 is a rematch for the UFC women’s strawweight title between champ Rose Namajunas and Joanna Jedrzejczyk. At Bovada Sportsbook, Namajunas is a -105 underdog and Jedrzejczyk is a -125 favorite.

Namajunas is 7-3 with one win by KO and five by submission, while Jedrzejczyk is 14-1 with four wins by KO. That one loss came against Namajunas. They clashed at UFC 217 in November where Namajunas took the strawweight title away from Jedrzejczyk with a first-round TKO. In that fight, Namajunas was a +330 underdog and Jedrzejczyk a -860 favorite.

Also on the UFC 223 card is a featherweight bout between Renato Moicano and Calvin Kattar. Kattar is a -145 favorite and Moicano a +115 underdog.

Moicano is 11-1-1 with five wins by submission and is coming off his first loss. He fought at UFC 214 in July and was upset by Brian Ortega via submission as a -200 favorite.

Kattar has won 10 straight fights and owns an 18-2 record with seven wins by KO. He last fought at UFC 220 in January where he defeated Shane Burgos by TKO as a +120 underdog.
