UFC 221 Betting: Romero vs Rockhold Odds

The UFC heads Down Under this weekend with UFC 221: Romero vs Rockhold in Australia.

The main event is a title fight for the interim UFC middleweight championship between Yoel Romero and Luke Rockhold. At Bovada Sportsbook, they’re listing Rockhold as a -150 favorite and Romero a +120 underdog.

Rockhold, the former UFC middleweight champ, is 16-3 with four wins by knockout and 10 by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 116 in September when he defeated David Branch by submission as a -600 favorite.

Romero had an eight-fight winning streak snapped in his last fight, dropping his record to 12-2 with 10 wins by KO. That fight was at UFC 213 in July, and he lost to Robert Whittaker by unanimous decision as a -145 favorite. Coincidentally, the winner of this fight will go on to face Whittaker in a title unification bout.

Also on the UFC 221 main card is a heavyweight tilt between Mark Hunt and Curtis Blaydes. At Bovada Sportsbook, Blaydes is a -165 favorite and Hunt a +135 underdog.

Blaydes is 8-1 and one no contest, with seven of his wins by KO. He last fought at UFC 217 in November and defeated Oleksiy Oliynyk by TKO as a -345 favorite.

Hunt is 3-3 and one no contest in his last seven fights. His overall record stands at 13-11-1 and one no contest, with 10 wins by KO. His last fight was at UFC Fight Night 110 in June where he defeated Derrick Lewis by TKO as a +130 underdog.

One other notable fight on the UFC 221 card is a heavyweight bout between up-and-comer Tai Tuivasa and Cyril Asker. Tuivasa is a -310 favorite and Asker a +240 underdog.

Tuivasa is a perfect 6-0 in his young MMA career, with all six wins coming by KO. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 121 in November and defeated Rashad Coulter by KO as a -195 favorite.

Asker is 9-3 with four wins by KO and three by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 122 in November and defeated Yaozong Hu by submission as a -285 favorite.
