UFC 214 Betting: Cormier vs. Jones 2 Odds

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier gets another shot at Jon Jones this weekend when they face off in a long-awaited rematch at UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2.

Cormier may be the current light heavyweight champ, but it’s the former champ Jones who is the favorite this weekend. At the Bovada Sportsbook Jones is a -250 favorite in the fight, while Cormier is a +195 underdog.

Their first fight was over two years ago at UFC 182 in 2015. Jones, then the light heavyweight champ, was a -240 favorite that night and defeated Cormier by unanimous decision.

UFC 214 marks the return of Jones from a one-year suspension for a doping violation. He hasn’t fought since UFC 197 in April 2016 when he defeated Ovince Saint Preux by unanimous decision. A positive random drug test not long after that bout got Jones suspended for a year and cost him the light heavyweight title. He enters this fight on a 13-bout winning streak and owns a record of 22-1 with nines wins by knockout and six by submission.

Cormier has won his last four fights and the only blemish on his MMA record is his loss to Jones at UFC 182. He is 19-1 with six wins by KO and six by submission. In his last fight at UFC 210 in April he defeated Anthony Johnson by submission with a rear-naked choke.

There’s another title fight on the UFC 214 card, as welterweight champ Tyron Woodley goes up against Demian Maia. The champ is favored here with Woodley at -210 at the Bovada Sportsbook and Maia listed at +170.

Woodley is 17-3-1 with six wins by KO and five by submission. He’s 4-0-1 in his last five fights and last stepped into the octagon at UFC 209 in March. He fought Stephen Thompson and won by majority decision.

Maia has won his last seven fights to sit at 25-6 with three wins by KO and 12 by submission. He last faced Jorge Masvidal at UFC 211 in May and won by split decision.

And if you’re looking to take a risk for some big cash the women’s featherweight bout between Cristiane Justino and Tanya Evinger is your chance. Justino is a huge -1100 favorite at the Bovada Sportsbook, which makes Evinger a +650 underdog.

Justino is 17-1 and one no contest with an astounding 15 wins by KO. In her last fight at UFC Fight Night 95 in September she defeated Lina Lansberg by TKO.

Evinger is 19-5 and one no contest with eight wins by KO and seven by submission. She’ll also be making her UFC debut. Her last fight in an Invicta FC event in March was a win over Yana Kunitskaya by submission.
