UFC 213 Betting: Nunes vs. Shevchenko Odds

Amanda Nunes defends the UFC women’s bantamweight title for the third time this weekend as she faces Valentina Shevchenko in the main event at UFC 213.

Nunes may be the champ but she’s a small underdog in the fight at the Bovada Sportsbook. She is listed at -105, while Shevchenko is a -125 favorite.

Nunes has won her last five fights to sit at 14-4 with 10 wins by knockout and three by submission. She last fought at UFC 207 in December and defeated Ronda Rousey by TKO in the opening round as an underdog.

Shevchenko has a 14-2 record with four wins by KO and six by submission. She is 7-1 in her last eight fights and last fought at UFC on Fox 23 in January where she defeated Julianna Pena by submission.

Shevchenko’s lone loss in her last eight fights came against Nunes. They met up at UFC 196 in March 2016 with Nunes winning by unanimous decision. Shevchenko was also favored in that bout.

The co-main event on the UFC 213 card is a middleweight bout between Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker. The winner will be named the interim champ and should get a shot at Michael Bisping sometime in the near future.

Romero is a +105 underdog at the Bovada Sportsbook despite being on an eight-fight winning streak. He is 13-1 with 11 wins by KO. He last fought at UFC 205 in November and stopped Chris Weidman with a third-round knockout.

Whittaker has won his last seven fights and is a -135 favorite in the bout. He’s 18-4 with nine wins by KO and five by submission. His last fight was at UFC on Fox 24 in April. He defeated Ronaldo Souza by TKO in the second round.

As well, two MMA veterans square off at UFC 213 when heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Alistair Overeem meet for the third time.

Overeem, 42-15 and one no contest with 19 wins by KO and 19 by submission, is a -135 favorite, while Werdum, 21-6-1 with six wins by KO and 10 by submission, is a +105 underdog.

Overeem is 5-1 in his last six fights and last fought at UFC 209 in March where he defeated Mark Hunt by KO. Werdum is 7-1 in his last eight fights and last fought at UFC 203 in September where he defeated Travis Browne by unanimous decision.

Overeem and Werdum’s first fight was at a PRIDE event in 2006, which Werdum won by submission. In the rematch at a Strikeforce event in 2001, Overeem won by unanimous decision.
