Holly Holm will look to make history again as she bids to become the first female UFC multiple division champion. She gets her chance to become the UFC’s inaugural Women’s Featherweight title holder this weekend, but it looks like she’ll have to beat the odds as well as Germaine de Randamie to do it.
UFC 208 will also feature a co-main event between MMA legend Anderson Silva and Derek Brunson, plus 10 other fights for MMA betting enthusiasts. Odds on all UFC 208 matchups are available at Bovada.
The UFC 208 main event will feature two of the most decorated female strikers in the history of combat sports. UFC odds have de Randamie handicapped as the -135 favorite while action on the Holm upset will pay +105.
This will be the second time Holm is handicapped as the underdog in her MMA career and we all remember what she did the last time. We expect her to rise to the occasion and upset de Randamie via either late-round KO or unanimous decision.
The UFC 208 co-main event features a legend of the sport facing a defining moment in his career as Anderson Silva will step into the Octagon against Derek Brunson. UFC odds have the younger Brunson handicapped as the -155 favorite while a Silva win will pay +125. Many see this fight as Silva’s first real test at 185 pounds since losing his UFC Middleweight belt over three years ago.
This fight will likely consist of Brunson looking to take the fight to the ground and dominate the former champ with ground strikes and grappling control. In a three rounder we can easily see a Brunson decision win.
The other MMA betting line that jumps out at us on the UFC 208 fight card is the +115 option on Ian McCall against Jarred Brooks. McCall has had some personal problems of late, but the jump down in competition level should be wide enough for him to display his superior skills for what should be a unanimous decision win.
