UFC 203 Betting: Miocic vs Overeem Odds

UFC pay-per-view action returns this weekend with Alistair Overeem and Stipe Miocic battling for the UFC Heavyweight title. UFC 203 will also feature former Heavyweight champ Fabricio Werdum in a rematch with Travis Browne, and MMA betting enthusiasts will get their first, and perhaps only, chance to wager on CM Punk.

UFC odds on all eleven fights are available at online sportsbook Bovada, and the card is full of closely handicapped fights.

Miocic will look to defend his new title for the first time in front of hometown fans when he faces Overeem in Cleveland, Ohio. MMA odds at Bovada have the champ handicapped as the slim -145 favorite while action on Overeem will pay +115.

A true pick'em, this fight is a tough one to call. If Overeem can maintain a safe distance his striking is lethal against anyone, but if Miocic gets inside, he has the power and wrestling to produce the win.

The UFC 203 co-main event features the second time Werdum and Browne have met in the Octagon. Their first meeting ended in a unanimous decision win for Werdum, and for that reason he’s handicapped as a -225 favorite at Bovada.

If you think Browne can land a power shot and get the upset, it comes with a +175 payday. It may be worth the risk if Werdum hasn’t mentally recovered from his devastating KO loss in his last fight.

The most interesting fight on the UFC 203 fight card is the MMA debut of CM Punk. The former pro wrestling star steps into the Octagon in his first fight, and he will be facing a very hungry young opponent in Mickey Gall.

It’s tough to imagine any way that Punk could pay off on the +300 underdog option at Bovada, and we fully expect him to be dominated and finished within the first minute of the fight.

If you have the bankroll, the -400 option on Gall may be one of the best opportunities we’ve seen in a while to make a big chalk play for and easy payday.
