UFC 195 Betting: Lawler vs Condit Odds

Yet another UFC title is on the line to kick off 2016. UFC 195 will feature Welterweight champion Robbie Lawler defending his title for the second time since becoming champion, and MMA odds at Bovada have him even-money less juice against challenger Carlos Condit.

Odds at Bovada on the UFC 195 main event are currently at -115 on both fighters. Condit is a former UFC Welterweight interim champion but has only one fight in the last year and a half. The question that needs to be answered before taking action on this fight is whether or not Condit is past his prime. We think that Lawler is just too tough to be controlled by his opponent and will likely win via decision.

In the co-main event two of the UFC’s Heavyweight contenders will battle for what should be the next shot at the UFC Heavyweight title. Stipe Miocic will look to stop the momentum train that is Andrei Arlovski. Odds on these two have Miocic handicapped as the -225 favorite while action on the Arlovski win will pay +175.

We think that Arlovski will force the pace of this fight and give Miocic no choice but to engage in a striking battle. With the heavy hands Arlovski has, it looks like the value in this fight is on the underdog. Especially in the first two rounds. With a record of 10-1-1 in the last four and a half years, we’re surprised to see Arlovski as such a big dog at UFC 195.

Ultimate Fighter winner Diego Brandao will also make an appearance at UFC 195. A +170 underdog at Bovada against Brian Ortega (-210), Brandao will be looking to extend a two-fight win streak and has stated that he has a renewed vigor for the sport of late.

Once again we like the upset opportunity on a skilled fighter like Brandao. Ortega has an undefeated record but has popped for steroid use in the past. This will be his first fight under the new drug testing policies, and there’s a good chance he will not be the fighter we’re used to seeing.
