UFC 193 Betting: Rousey vs Holm Odds

The Queen of MMA returns to action this weekend in what will be an historic event from Australia, as for the first time in UFC history women will be the main and co-main events in a pay-per-view card.

Ronda Rousey will look to defend her UFC Women’s Bantamweight title for the seventh time, this time at UFC 193 against a highly decorated boxer in Holly Holm.

Bovada is currently offering action on the UFC 193 fight card with Rousey commanding a -2000 price to win. If you have the bankroll there will be little risk that she does not win, mainly because she will be able to take the fight to the ground and submit her opponent at will.

Rousey will surely look to test her boxing skills in this fight, but if she doesn’t dominate in the stand-up battle the fight will go to the ground and will end in rapid fashion.

Despite the +900 payday on the Holm upset it’s very difficult to imagine a method for an underdog victory. Save those longshot units for the co-main event, which will offer a little more in the way of underdog chances.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk is an even bigger favorite than Rousey in her UFC 193 co-main event fight against Valerie Letourneau. Action on the UFC Women’s Strawweight champion comes with a -2200 price at Bovada, while the line on her opponent Letourneau offers a +950 payday.

Jedrzejczyk is also a dominant champion in her division but Letourneau could present a stylistic problem for the champ if she’s able to close the distance and get the champion into a grappling match.

Jedrzejczyk is one of the best strikers in MMA, but she has not been tested on the ground yet. It might be worth a unit or two to take a chance that Letourneau can out-grapple the champ for the upset victory.

UFC 193 will also offer a great opportunity on the surging Uriah Hall against Robert Whittaker. At only -140 at Bovada, the line on Hall seems exceptionally cheap considering his recent victories and endless potential.
