UFC 192 Betting: Cormier vs Gustafsson Odds

Pay-per-view action returns to the Octagon this weekend with the UFC Light Heavyweight title on the line, plus two important contender matches on a stacked fight card. Bovada has moneyline action available on all 13 UFC 192 fights, including the undercard matchups.

Headlining UFC 192 will be the first title defense for Daniel Cormier. He will put his UFC Light Heavyweight strap on the line against Alexander Gustafsson, and odds at Bovada have him handicapped as a heavy -335 favorite. Action on the Gustafsson upset is coming with a +250 payday, but it’s tough to envision a way that he will pay out on the underdog option.

We expect Cormier to spend most of the fight mauling Gustafsson either on the ground or up against the cage for what should be a unanimous decision win. Action on this fight thus far has driven the price on Cormier up from the initial -285 offering as more MMA bettors opt to go with the champion.

The co-main event is a possible top contender matchup between former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Rashad Evans and top-ten contender Ryan Bader. Both fighters appear to be past their prime, making this matchup a real pick em. UFC 192 odds at Bovada have Evans handicapped as the -165 favorite while a successful Bader wager will pay +135.

If it wasn’t for the two-year layoff from competition it would be easy to pick Evans to win in this fight. He is better than Bader at striking, foot movement, wrestling and overall technique. But Evans has not been a motivated fighter, and if he isn’t completely dialed in on Saturday night he could get out-worked for the loss.

Former UFC Welterweight champion Johny Hendricks will face Tyrone Woodley at UFC 192 for what should be the next title shot at 170 lbs. MMA odds at Bovada have Hendricks listed as the heavy -300 favorite while action on Woodley will pay +230.

Hendricks should be able to control the tempo of this fight and will have a big edge in power if Woodley decides to trade blows at any point. We like the Hendricks wins by decision in this fight, especially in the three-rounder.
