TUF Tournament of Champions Finale Odds

One of the best seasons of The Ultimate Fighter series will come to a close this weekend when pound-for-pound No. 1 Demetrious Johnson defends his UFC Flyweight title against Tim Elliot.

The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale will also feature two of the top Flyweights facing off in what will likely be for the next title shot at some point in 2017. As well, MMA betting fans will see appearances from names like Jake Ellenberger, Gray Maynard and Sara McMann.

The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale main event is a fighter’s dream come true. Tim Elliot gets a direct shot at UFC gold after winning this season of TUF because Demetrious Johnson has cleaned out the division.

As to be expected Elliot is a +600 underdog at Bovada, but despite his talents, toughness and aggressive style, he will be taking a giant leap up in competition and will likely be completely outclassed.

If you have the bankroll action on Johnson is currently coming with a UFC odds -1000 price. As difficult as it may be to believe, we feel that is still a bargain. Even if Elliot is tough enough to take the fight deep, he will likely not win a round along the way and will need to land a fight-changing power shot to have a chance. And we don’t think he has the speed to catch the champ like that.

The co-main event will feature two of the best 125-pound fighters in the world vying for No. 1 contender status and another shot at the title. UFC odds at Bovada have Benavidez handicapped as the –200 favorite while action on Cejudo will pay +160. We think there is a potential upset opportunity here, especially if Cejudo is able to establish his wrestling in the early going.

Another potential upset opportunity on the card is the Jake Ellenberger vs. Jorge Masvidal matchup. Ellenberger is a +200 underdog, but we think that payday might be worth a bit of a risk on a fighter that has big power and good wrestling.
